Introduction

This statement sets out the steps taken by Class Architect to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in its business operations and supply chains. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.

Our Business

Class Architect is a UK-based AI-powered curriculum design platform. Our operations are primarily digital, with a small remote team and cloud-based infrastructure. We do not manufacture physical goods and our direct exposure to modern slavery risks is low. However, we recognise our responsibility to ensure that our supply chains — including cloud infrastructure providers, AI model hosting platforms, and subcontractors — are free from modern slavery.

Our Supply Chain

Our supply chain consists of:

• Cloud computing and AI inference providers (Google Cloud, Clerk, Stripe)
• Software development tools and services
• Professional services (legal, accounting)

All of our major suppliers are headquartered in the UK, US, or EU and are subject to robust anti-slavery legislation in their jurisdictions.

Our Policies

• Supplier Due Diligence: We assess all new suppliers for modern slavery risks before engagement. Existing suppliers are reviewed annually.
• Whistleblowing Policy: We encourage all employees and contractors to report any concerns about modern slavery or human trafficking without fear of retaliation.
• Code of Conduct: Our code of conduct explicitly prohibits the use of forced, bonded, or involuntary labour and requires all suppliers to confirm their compliance.
• Contractual Safeguards: All supplier contracts include clauses requiring compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and equivalent legislation.

Risk Assessment

We have assessed our operations and supply chains as low risk for modern slavery due to the digital nature of our business, the geographic location of our suppliers, and the absence of any manufacturing, manual labour, or low-skilled workforce in our operations. We will continue to monitor this risk as we grow.

Training

All team members receive annual training on modern slavery awareness, including how to identify potential indicators of slavery and human trafficking and how to report concerns.

Effectiveness

We measure the effectiveness of our anti-slavery measures through supplier audit completion rates, training completion rates, and the number of concerns raised (currently zero).

Approval

This statement has been approved by the board of Class Architect and will be reviewed and updated annually.
